Every submitted manuscript is reviewed by our editorial council. We select only eight titles annually to ensure focused creative attention.
We design custom typographies, hand-drawn chapter decorations, and select premium tactile papers sourced from sustainable mills.
Our books are printed and bound in partnership with regional Canadian presses, honoring traditional binding standards.
We place our titles in select independent bookshops and deliver directly to collectors who appreciate physical craftsmanship.
"A room without books is like a body without a soul, but a book without tactile beauty is like a soul without a home."
In an increasingly digital landscape, Skybound Books champions the tangible weight of literature. Based in Sherbrooke, Quebec, our physical press serves as a sanctuary for authors who want their words to endure on high-quality acid-free paper rather than fleeting pixel displays.
We believe that a book should be a treasured possession, passed down through generations. Our design choices reflect the tone of the written word, ensuring absolute harmony between physical container and intellectual content.
Have questions about how we work, publish, or distribute? Here are details about our boutique process.
Yes. We accept submissions from both established and debut authors. We are particularly interested in literary fiction, regional history, and poetry collections with a unique perspective.
Once accepted, every author works one-on-one with a dedicated senior editor. We offer structural editing, copyediting, and proofreading, maintaining the author's authentic voice throughout.
Our titles are available directly through our online request form, at our Sherbrooke workshop, and in select independent bookstores across Quebec and Eastern Canada.
Whether you are an author seeking a publishing home or a collector looking for a rare edition, we would love to hear from you. Our team responds to all thoughtful inquiries within two weeks.
Visits to our Sherbrooke binding workshop are available by prior appointment only.
